Julie Wheeldon

Julie leads on legal for the Trust and is the Link Trustee for Ryecroft Church of England Middle School.

Qualifying as a solicitor in 1995, Julie completed her training contract with a large practice in Derby. Head of Department roles at two further practices ultimately led to a partnership position with a practice in Stafford. Throughout her legal career she gained extensive experience in all aspects of matrimonial/family law together with contentious probate matters.

Seeking a career change in 2014, she moved to the education sector. Gaining initial experience as a volunteer classroom support assistant at a preparatory school, she successfully completed a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF). A Learning Support Assistant role in the SEN department of a local secondary school deepened her knowledge of the specific learning difficulties experienced by young people and how best to support them to achieve their maximum potential.

Recent part time work as a Compliance and Regulations Auditor for a property company has allowed her make use of her legal skills.
