Sid has also worked in the business sector as director of a multinational cost and programme management consultancy company. He is currently a director of a small company.
Sid is committed to the success and well-being of our young people in the Trust and offering high quality education for all.
He is very proud of our young people and what they achieve as they move through our three-tier system, from nursery school to post-16 provision at our high school. He sees that our Trust works in partnership with parents and communities for the benefit of the students who represent the future of our country.
Over the next five years he aims to support the Trust to welcome other like-minded, schools into our family and continue to improve and develop our high-quality education.
Pauline Livesey is Vice Chair of our Trust Board, Advisory Headteacher and Link Trustee for both Bramshall Meadows First School and All Saints Church of England First School.
Pauline Livesey is a retired Primary Executive Headteacher with a very varied experience working in a range of schools.
After teaching in Southall, West London and schools in Northern Ireland, she went on to work in schools in Eastern Europe and was headteacher of a British International School in Moscow working with children from diverse backgrounds.
On returning to the UK, Pauline worked in a variety of settings before becoming headteacher at St Peters Marchington and finally worked as executive headteacher of the Woodlands Federation.
Margaret was one of our founding trustees, chairs the Education Committee and has the strategic responsibility for Christian Distinctiveness across the Trust. She is also the Link Trustee for Windsor Park Church of England Middle School.
A Church of England priest, she is also the Team Rector for the Uttoxeter Area. Many of the Trust’s schools are connected to an Area church.
Margaret has a keen interest in the governance side of education and has been involved in schools as governor and trustee of a large urban MAT for nearly 30 years.
She offers pastoral care to trustees, staff and children and their families and leads worship and RE days in some trust schools.
She would like to see the Trust continue to succeed, with all schools judged good or outstanding by Ofsted and, for our Church of England schools, good or excellent by the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS). She would also like to see the Trust continue to grow, both the in number of schools and number of pupils on roll, and for all to access a creative curriculum appropriate for their needs.
Simon is Chair of the Trust’s Finance and Audit Committee and Link Governor for Hutchinson Memorial Church of England First School.
Simon is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience of governance and financial management. Most recently he was Company Secretary and Director of Corporate Governance of the Financial Conduct Authority. Prior to this, his career included numerous company secretary or financial director roles in a wide range of industries, including investment banking, cruise shipping, children’s entertainment and manufacturing.
Simon is a non-executive director and chair of the Audit Committee of the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. He was also a trustee and Honorary Treasurer of Cumberland Lodge, an educational charity based in Windsor, for 11 years.
Simon is keen to see the Trust establish itself as a leading provider of education for children throughout their school career, based on a track record of excellent outcomes for students and sound financial management. Over the next five years, he would like to see the Trust continue to grow the number and range of schools within it, gradually broadening its geographical reach whilst maintaining its strong focus on maximising students’ potential and financial stability. He would like to see schools within the Trust deriving clear benefits from being a part of progressive and effective multi-academy trust.
Pat is the Vice Chair of our Education Committee and has oversight of safeguarding and special educational needs (SEND) for the Trust. She is also the Link Trustee to The Richard Clarke First school.
She has extensive experience in education, with over 30 years’ experience working in schools across all ages – from 4 to 18 years. She has senior leadership experience in secondary schools and was a primary headteacher.
Pat also worked for a local authority where she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in governance in multi academy trusts (MATs). She has been a Chief Executive Officer of a small local MAT and is a National Leader of Governance.
She currently runs a school improvement consultancy with a particular specialism in special educational needs and primary education.
Pat has now brought all her experience and knowledge to the Trust and is excited to be on the part of its on-going journey. She believes the children served by the Trust should have the best opportunities to succeed in school and their next stages of life-long learning. To achieve this she is committed to ensuring staff wellbeing is at the heart of this.
She would like to see the Trust be forward and outward thinking and certainly the Trust of choice for schools locally and further afield.
Colin is Vice Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee, leads on human resources and wellbeing and is Link Trustee for Picknalls First School.
He is a highly experienced HR Leader, having worked at a senior level in internationally focused roles in the BMW Group, Rolls-Royce Plc and, most recently, with Ball Corporation. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Colin’s experience of the education sector has been gained as a parent of children who have worked their way through the state education system. This is combined with a strong understanding of what businesses need educationally from prospective employees, having led teams responsible for hiring and training apprentices and graduates.
He expects to see the Trust become nationally recognised as one of the top providers of education across all age levels by demonstrating a sustainable track record of maximising the potential of individual students’ skills and abilities.
In the next five years, Colin envisages the Trust will grow and broaden its geographical footprint whilst still retaining its core identity, focus on strong student outcomes and sustainable financial stability. Its schools will consistently show improved performance levels through realising the benefits of working together within a highly effective and efficient MAT.
Sue brings a wealth of educational experience that is deeply rooted in working towards identifying strategies that enable students to make the best progress possible. She brings expertise from her role as the District Education Manager for School Improvement at Staffordshire LEA, where she spearheaded initiatives aimed at enhancing educational standards across the district.
Her expertise also extends to workforce development, secondary leadership, and management, where she served as a trusted consultant for Staffordshire LEA, contributing invaluable insights and guidance.
Sue has also played a pivotal role as a consultant for the KS3 & KS4 National Strategy, focusing on behaviour and attendance, ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students.
In light of current national trends revealing heightened hurdles in students' personal, emotional, social, and educational growth, Sue recognises the imperative for schools to adapt and devise methodologies for pinpointing needs and implementing effective improvement plans. She emphasises the critical importance of gauging the efficacy of such measures across the entire school, specific cohorts, and individual students as a pivotal step towards informed future actions.
With her wealth of experience and dedication to educational excellence, Sue continues to make a lasting impact in the field of education within Uttoxeter Learning Trust.
